Dad's Tie

Hopefully it will reach him by Father’s Day or shortly there after. Usually post to the UK is pretty good.

Details

Pattern: KnitPicks’ A Silk Tie

Yarn: Fiesta Yarns La Luz 100% silk in Jade, blue and teal

Needles: US 1/2.25 mm

Started: 10th May 2008

Finished: June 8 2008 including sewing in lining.

Update Monday June 16th: Dad called on Sunday to say that he loves his tie and was wearing it! He did threaten to wear it lining side out sometime because of that being so pretty too.  Mum likes it too and she says it looks really good on because of the stripes.

  1. Looks lovely!

I’ll be interested to hear if your dad can be persuaded to wear it. 🙂

  3. He’ll have to wear it when I’m home. At least once so I can take a picture.

  4. Is it reversible? Love the silky side. I think Jessica and I need full length robes (with hoods) made of that material – knitted robes would also be nice…

Sure, before or after I finish the cushion covers? 😉

The fabric is gorgeous. It almost makes me wish I liked sewing. Robes in that fabric would be lovely.

Actually, the yarn was silk and fabric was polyester or something similar.
