Spider’s Web

When I was wandering around the garden this morning I discovered this amazing spider’s web. You cannot really tell from this picture – it was too sunny for a better shot – but the web is three dimensional with the orb being the top layer. There is over a foot of space between the two rhodendrons. Flies don’t stand a chance.

  1. Wow, great picture.

Your light on the web was just right.

  2. Thanks. I went out this morning to see if the rain had left it looking pretty and the orb part of the web has totally disappeared. The spider was still there. Perhaps she caught a huge fly!

  3. This is a most excellent picture and I have linked it as the intro to the latest Crapshoot.
