Blogging’s Impact on My Life

I’ve been tagged. I think this is my first ever tag. Thanks Dave!

  1. What have you learned so far from visitors to your blog
  2. I have visitors? Actually, I have about 100 a day but they need to comment more so that I can learn from them. I’ve also found out that my family does not read my blog.

  3. If somebody offered to pay for a course (or more) for you, what would it be?
  4. I am seriously thinking of taking a course in material science with emphasis on nanotechnology.

  5. Are you satisfied with what you have achieved in 2006?
  6. As I was convalescing for most of 2006 I am satisfied with what I accomplished.

  7. Has blogging changed your life in any way?
  8. It helped me realize that science communication is important. I like being part of a community of science bloggers.

  9. If you could meet the one person in the world whom you truly admire, who would that be?
  10. Most the people I would like to meet are dead such as Marie Curie or Rosalind Franklin. Living people – I would like to meet Hilary Rodham Clinton and, to be unbiased, Dr. Condoleezza Rice, as I think both women will have interesting stories to tell about their lives and careers. I would also like to meet other women scientists to chat about science.

I don’t normally like chain letters and typical disregard them Nothing has happened to me yet. So even though I am tagging Foma, EasternBlot and Zuska, they are free to ignore it!

  1. Nanotechnology is a bit out of your area, isn’t it? (By which I mean I’m surprised.) Go for it! I took a similar class last semester. It was fascinating enough to completely make up for the fact that it delayed my graduation. (I’m a little biased, though.)

  2. I do some research on the rheological changes that occur to food during storage. I would be very interested in knowing what is happening at the nano-level.

Perhaps I should see if anything is being offered next semester here.

  3. I’m going to ignore the tag, if you don’t mind (but thanks!). I get tagged on a lot of things, but I try to keep the chatter out of my blog.
