Musical Interludes

Filed under: Music — Cat @ 5:00 pm

This really is a musical interlude as for the next six weeks I am singing with Newark’s Ecumenical Chorus. We are singing Alice Parker’s “A Sermon from the Mountain: Martin Luther King“. The concert is Feb 10 and more information is here. You can order the only recording of it from Melodious Accord. It is on the CD King and the Duke.

We had our first rehearsal last night and the music is great fun to sing. Certainly a new style of choral music for me. I’m looking forward to applying what I learnt in voice lessons in the past two years.

Straight after this concert, UD Schola Cantorum returns to rehearse Orff’s Carmina Burana which we are singing with the Delaware Symphony Orchestra in March.
