Yorkshire Dales – Three Peaks

Three Peaks

One of the Three Peaks in the Yorkshire Dales. If I remember correctly, it is Pen-y-ghent. One advantage of being there in the winter was the lack of people. In the summer you can queue to climb up.

The reason why they are specially is because they are some of the few mountains in England as their peak is 2,000 feet above see level.

I just found out that there is a Three Peaks of Yorkshire Club. I could have been a member! I walked them with these guys when I was a post-doc at Leeds Univeristy.
