Surgery

This is a very hard for me to write, so I hope you don’t mind if I just write it once and mass post it every where. I don’t know how else to write this without it being a shock, as it was a shock for me too.

I found out on Tuesday that I need to have urgent surgery to remove a growth from my colon. I will be having surgery on Oct 26 and should be in hospital for 5 days and out from work for up to a month.

I am not looking for sympathy, but any one who lives nearby with spare some time could come and visit or help me out with grocery shopping in some way. Living alone adds to the complication of being ill.

Family and friends who are too far away or too busy but still want to help, could sending me gift vouchers from Amazon.com or knitpicks.com. That way I could buy books, music and yarn to keep me occupied during convalescence. Other than that a simple phone call in November would be great.
